05 The Dragon King Is Beheaded

In the thirteenth year of the Zhenguan era the Great Tang was a land of prosperity, and along the banks of the Jing River outside Chang'an the scenery was quiet and lovely, the water clear and the hills green. There lived here a fisherman and a woodcutter: the fisherman was called Zhang Shao, the woodcutter Li Ding.
