14 Wave Moon Cave

The Tang Monk had believed slander and blamed Sun Wukong for excessive killing, driving him away. Then he mounted the white dragon horse, told Bajie to lead the way, and had Sandy carry the luggage as they continued westward. They entered a pine forest. The Tang Monk dismounted and said, "Bajie, I am hungry in my belly. Go find some vegetarian food." Bajie agreed, took the alms bowl from the luggage, and strode off. Bajie left the pine forest and walked more than ten li west without meeting a single household. Tired from walking, he complained, "Usually it's that Sun Monkey who begs for food; today it's Old Pig's turn. Now I know that whoever minds the house doesn't know the price of rice and firewood!"
