14 Wave Moon Cave

The gatekeeping lesser demon was startled and ran inside to report, "Great King, disaster! That long-mouthed, big-eared monk and that gloomy-faced monk have broken our gate outside!" The Yellow-Robe Demon was furious. Holding his blade, he walked out of the cave and asked, "I spared your master; why do you come again to break my gate?" Bajie cursed, "Demon, you have seized the third princess of the Kingdom of Baoxiang as your wife. By the king's command, I have come specially to arrest you. Tie yourself up with a rope at once, or Old Pig will have to act!" The Yellow-Robe Demon ground his steel teeth in anger and raised his blade to cut at Bajie's head. Bajie dodged to one side and met him with his rake, while Sandy also raised his staff and stepped forward to help. The three fought in front of the slope for eight or nine rounds. This time the Yellow-Robe Demon used his true skill, and Bajie and Sandy gradually became no match for him. Bajie saw the situation turning bad and called, "Brother Sandy, keep fighting the demon while Old Pig goes to relieve himself." With that he burrowed into the brambles and did not dare come out again. After Bajie left, Sandy could not hold out alone. Caught off guard, he was seized by the Yellow-Robe Demon, bound with ropes, and carried into the cave. The Yellow-Robe Demon returned to the cave and thought, "I spared the Tang Monk's life; why would he send his disciples to arrest me? It must be my wife who asked him to deliver a letter to the Kingdom of Baoxiang and leaked the news! I'll go ask." Thinking this, he was filled with murderous intent and went to see the princess, teeth gritted. When the princess saw him, she asked with an apologetic smile, "Husband, why are you so troubled?" The Yellow-Robe Demon cursed, "You vicious woman, I have treated you a thousand ways well, yet you secretly asked the Tang Monk to carry a letter and led these two monks to attack my door!" The princess panicked and said, "Husband, you wrong me. What letter was there?" The Yellow-Robe Demon shouted, "You still dare to be stubborn? Go confront the monk Sha now and die understanding!" Without allowing explanation, he seized the princess with one great hand and held his steel blade in the other as he went to see Sandy. The Yellow-Robe Demon came before Sandy and shouted, "Monk Sha, did this woman send a letter to the Kingdom of Baoxiang, and did the king send you?" As he spoke, he pushed the princess to the ground and raised the blade to kill her. Sandy thought, "It was clearly the princess who sent the letter. But she saved my master; how could I repay kindness with enmity?" He made up his mind and shouted, "Demon, don't be rude! What letter? When my master reached the Kingdom of Baoxiang, he saw the princess's portrait, and that is why he sent us to welcome the princess back." The Yellow-Robe Demon saw Sandy speak with such confidence and believed him. He quickly dropped the blade, lifted the princess in both arms, and said, "I was rash for a moment and gave offense. Do not blame me, do not blame me." Seeing his gentle expression, the princess finally relaxed. The Yellow-Robe Demon set out a banquet to calm the princess. As they drank merrily, he rose and said, "Wife, you drink while I go to the Kingdom of Baoxiang to meet my father-in-law the king." The princess worried, "My royal father has never seen such a fierce face as yours; I'm afraid you'll frighten him, which would be bad." The Yellow-Robe Demon said, "That's easy; I'll turn into a handsome man." With that he transformed into a graceful and handsome young gentleman.
