14 Wave Moon Cave

The gatekeeping lesser demon saw them and hurried inside to report. The demon smiled and said, "It must be Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing come. Let me meet them!" He donned full armor and took his blade in hand. The demon came out of the gate and shouted, "The Yellow-Robe Demon is here! What monk are you that you dare shout at my gate?" Bajie said, "I am a disciple of Tang Sanzang. If my master is in your house, send him out quickly, or I'll break in!" The Yellow-Robe Demon laughed and said, "The Tang Monk is right here in my cave. I haven't mistreated him; I'm making human-meat buns for him to eat. Why don't you come in and eat a few too?" Bajie replied, "It's fine to eat some along the way." As he spoke, he was about to enter. Sandy pulled him back and said, "Second Brother, he's fooling you. Do you want to eat human flesh?" Bajie came to his senses and cursed, "Demon, how dare you toy with me!" He swung his rake and struck at the Yellow-Robe Demon. The demon dodged to one side and parried with his steel blade. The two exchanged blows and began to fight. Seeing this from the side, Sandy also raised his staff and joined the battle. The three displayed their divine might, fighting from the ground up into the clouds for dozens of rounds without a victor. Meanwhile, in the cave, the Tang Monk thought of Bajie and Sandy and said with tears in his eyes, "Disciples, your teacher has met a demon and is suffering here. Do you know?" He was weeping when suddenly a woman came out of the cave, about thirty years old. Leaning on the soul-fixing post, she asked, "Elder, where do you come from? Why are you tied here?" The Tang Monk answered, "Lady Bodhisattva, do not ask. When you wish to eat me, eat me and be done." The woman explained, "Elder, do not misunderstand. I do not eat people. Please listen to my story." "More than three hundred li west of here is a city called the Kingdom of Baoxiang. I am the king's third princess; my milk name is Princess Baihuaxiu." "Thirteen years ago, on the night of the fifteenth day of the eighth month, I was playing and admiring the moon when this Yellow-Robe Demon raised a violent wind and captured me." "Ever since, I have been in this Wave-Moon Cave, wedded to the Yellow-Robe Demon for thirteen years, and have never returned to the Kingdom of Baoxiang. I long for my parents terribly but cannot see them." When the princess finished speaking, she asked the Tang Monk, "Elder, why were you captured by the demon?" The Tang Monk said, "This poor monk was going west to fetch the scriptures and blundered here." The princess said with an apologetic smile, "I will release you at once. The Kingdom of Baoxiang lies on your westward road. Would you be so kind as to take a letter for me to my parents?" The Tang Monk agreed, "If I am saved, I am willing to carry a letter for you!" The princess immediately wrote a letter, untied the Tang Monk's ropes, and handed him the letter. The Tang Monk hurriedly took leave of the princess and escaped through the back gate. The princess rushed to the front gate and heard the clanging of weapons. The Yellow-Robe Demon was fighting Bajie and Sandy busily in midair. The princess called out, "Yellow-Robe Lord!"
